Sometime this afternoon this blog had it’s thousandth visit. Even though a lot of blogs would get that many in a day, and my reasons for writing it are more for my self than to attract readers (mainly to work on my writing skills and get ideas clearer in my head), I’m pretty happy about it.

Since last month’s trip to Mongolia was so successful, we decided to continue the tour and head to Mexico. We winnowed the choice down to two Mexican restaurants on Melbourne street, Zapata’s and Montezuma’s, and decided on Zapata’s because fewer of us had been there before.

Election Day

Having looked at all the senate candidates and their policies, I went to the polling booth yesterday and cast my vote. On the way I passed the volunteers that were passing out ‘how to vote’ cards. Usually I refuse these but this year I was keen to see who the different parties were preferencing.
